Draft Play Event Description
Draft Play is a fun, casual format where players build their decks on the spot using booster packs. It’s a great way to enjoy the game and test your skills in deck-building and gameplay. Here’s how it works:
Players are divided into groups, ideally of 8 players each (the size can vary as needed).
Opening Packs:
- Each player opens three booster packs.
- Remove the leader cards from each pack.
- Keep the remaining cards in separate stacks without looking at them.
Choosing Leaders:
- Each player selects one leader from their opened packs and passes the other two to the right.
- Choose one leader from the received leaders and pass the remaining one to the right.
- Repeat this until each player has three leaders.
Drafting Cards:
- Select one booster pack to start.
- Place the common base/token card in the center of the table.
- Choose one card from the pack and pass the rest to the left.
- Continue this process until all cards from the pack are drafted.
- Repeat with the second booster pack, passing cards to the right.
- Repeat with the third booster pack, passing cards to the left.
Deck Building:
- Exactly 1 leader and exactly 1 base.
- A minimum 30-card draw deck.
- Remaining cards are part of the sideboard (except for leaders and bases).
- Players have 30 minutes to build their deck.
- Players can include as many copies of any card as they want, provided they were drafted from the packs.
Gameplay:
- Players compete in matches using their newly built decks.
- Players can adjust their decks between games.
